Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
1. Information we collect
The developer of this app does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number. The app has no developer-operated server, so the data you enter in the app is never transmitted to the developer. The only exception is the contact form: if you send a message through it, the developer receives what you wrote there (see section 9).
The data you enter — your quit date, cigarettes smoked per day, cigarettes per pack, and cigarette prices — is stored only on your own device and in your own iCloud (a private CloudKit database provided by Apple). The developer cannot obtain or view this data.
2. About iCloud
If iCloud is enabled on your device, the data above is stored in iCloud for backup and for syncing between devices. It is shared only among your own devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Apple's privacy policy applies to information handled by iCloud.
3. Advertising
This app displays advertisements using Google AdMob. To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use information such as:
- Device information (device type, OS version, language settings, and similar)
- Your IP address and the approximate location inferred from it
- Advertising identifiers and information about how ads are shown and interacted with in the app
This information is handled in accordance with Google's privacy policy. For details and personalization settings, please see:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information for advertising: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Consent for advertising
In regions where consent is required — including the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — the app presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
Tracking
This app may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize ads. Because that counts as "tracking" under Apple's App Tracking Transparency, the app presents a tracking permission prompt the first time you use it.
If you do not allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not used and ads are served without personalization. Ads themselves continue to be shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
The quit-smoking data you enter is never used for advertising and is never sent anywhere.
4. Notifications
This app uses local notifications only, which are handled entirely on your device. No data is sent externally in order to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or in the app's settings screen.
5. Disclosure to third parties
The developer holds no personal information about you and therefore does not disclose or sell any to third parties. For information handled in connection with advertising, please see section 3.
6. Children's privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed from Settings → Apple Account → iCloud on your device.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised in response to changes in applicable law or to the app's features. When a significant change is made, the "Last updated" date on this page will be revised.
9. Contact
For questions about this policy or this app, please use the contact form. You can also open it from the app's settings screen.
The form lets you optionally provide contact details (an email address) if you would like a reply. What you submit — including the name and contact details you may optionally provide — is stored in Google Forms, is used only to reply to your message and to fix problems, and is never disclosed to third parties. Google's privacy policy applies to information handled through the form.
